Welcome to David's Antarctica Adventure! Join me as I share my journey to the world's most remote continent. I hope you will find the photos captivating and my tales of the trip of interest to you.  This is a true 'bucket list' trip for me so I'm thrilled to share this experience with you.  I will depart from Wiltshire on Friday, 20 February 2026 and return home on 6 March, so hope to attract your interest now to come back again to this blog whenever you want over the coming few weeks.  I plan to update it with stories and picture as my adventure unfolds, so come along with me!

This is my personal blog, created to share with friends and family the awe-inspiring beauty and unique experiences of my forthcoming trip to Antarctica. I plan to document what I see, from towering ice formations to incredible wildlife encounters. Dive into my photo gallery, follow my trip itinerary, and learn some amazing Antarctica facts. By the way, I'm writing this at home still, so this was me in Norway in 2018 but I hope to replace the pic once I get to sea down South!

A Running Commentary

Homeward Bound.

I am now in Buenos Aires once again having spent one night before the long flights home to UK via Madrid. There will be a final couple of pictures and narratives on the Picture Gallery phage to close out what has been, for me, the trip of a lifetime. Antarctica is a beautiful place, full of mystery, wonderment and surprises. It's a long way to go but I can assure you that it is worth it!
